Did you know I have moved my studio?

Hello everyone, just a quick update on this last day of 2017.

After 14 years at the old address, I made the choice to downsize the actual shooting space and move my office home.  I had a bigger space than I needed all to myself and now I am in a shared space with other photographers. From an overhead perspective, this makes a lot of sense.

I hope to be able to offer you more options as to where you want your session:

this side of the bridge (North and West Vancouver) or on the westside of Vancouver (coming Feb.1)

This is exciting for me and good for you!

I now offer delivery of finished product as well.

So, I hope you agree with me that this will be a win/win for all of us. Thank you for many years  of support and looking forward to seeing you all in the new digs.

Same website , email and phone number!

women authors

Meet our latest women authors from Vancouver, BC who recently honoured Tamara of Studio Two Photography with the job of taking their headshots. From left to right: Eileen Cook, Alyson McLayne and Kelly Charron.

They each have their own website:  http://www.eileencook.com and http://www.alisonmclayne.com and http://www.kellycharron.com

Check out their books on Amazon.

I so enjoyed meeting them all and produced many wonderful images for each of them.

I have included here a short bio of each lady, hope you enjoy meeting them too! Vancouver obviously rocks the publishing scene!

Eileen Cook is a multi-published author with her novels appearing in eight languages. Her books have been optioned for film and TV.  She spent most of her teen years wishing she were someone else or somewhere else, which is great training for a writer.

Her newest book, THE HANGING GIRL, will be out in October 2017.

She’s an instructor/mentor with the Simon Fraser University Writer’s Studio Program.

Eileen lives in Vancouver with her husband and two very naughty dogs and no longer wishes to be anyone or anywhere else.

Alyson McLayne is a mom of twins and an award-winning writer of contemporary, historical and paranormal romance. She’s also a dog lover and cat servant with a serious stash of dark chocolate. After getting her degree in theater at the University of Alberta, she promptly moved to the West Coast of Canada where she worked in film for several years and met her prop master husband.
Alyson has been nominated for several Romance Writers of America contests, including The Golden Heart, The Golden Pen, The Orange Rose, Great Expectations, The Molly’s and The Winter Rose.
Her debut historical romance, HIGHLAND PROMISE, will be published by Sourcebooks in October, 2017.

Also check out her romance “Fabrizio Bride” set in sizzling, sexy, Santa Barbara!

Kelly Charron is the author of horror, psychological thrillers and urban fantasy novels.

All with gritty, murderous inclinations and some moderate amounts of humor. She spends far too much time consuming true crime television (and chocolate) while trying to decide if yes, it was the husband, with the wrench, in the library.

She has written a YA psychological thriller called PRETTY WICKED about Ryann Wilkanson, a 15-year-old girl living in the small town of Dungrave County, Colorado who dreams of being an infamous and prolific serial killer––all the while keeping her dark deeds secret from her detective father and his shrewd partner.

With much more to tell in this story, she has written a sequel to PRETTY WICKED titled WICKED FALLOUT, which takes place 12 years after the slew of murders in the small town of Dungrave. It can be enjoyed as a standalone novel or as part of the Pretty Wicked series. Available now.

She has also completed two urban fantasy YA novels (DARKEST SHADOW and BREAKING THE WILDES) about witches, magic, malevolent spirits and, of course, murder which have yet to be released. Stay tuned

She lives and writes in Vancouver, Canada with her husband and their fat cat Moo Moo, who insists on sitting on the keyboard and begging for people food

Meet our Mothers day winner for 2017 Sophie Seeger!  She is one lucky lady with a basket full of goodies! Pictured here at Supernova Salon with Dana (the owner) on your left and Tamara of Studio Two Photography (that’s me) on your right.

As you may or may not know, each year we team up to do something nice for a deserving mom. Sophie was nominated by her husband for our even bigger and better contest this year!  North Shore Mom of the Year!

We came up with over $2000.00 in prizes this year, so not only is she being treated to a hairstyle and makeup application at Supernova Salon, but her young daughter and her will be loaned dresses from Isabelle’s Bridal Evening Collection,

to wear during their family portrait session by me at Studio Two Photography!  I will then choose one beautiful image to print and frame for them!

Prizes also include items and gift cards from: Skoah, Frankies Candybar, Unity Clothing, Brown’s Restaurant on Lonsdale, Mo’s General Store, and Griffin’s Boxing Club. Thank you to all these sponsors!

She’s coming in May 28 so I will post some shots after that!  We can’t wait to spoil this deserving mom!

Mother’s day contest 2017: Mom will start by having her hair styled and makeup applied by the experts at Supernova Salon…..then she’ll move on to Studio Two Photography were she will change into a beautiful gown lent by Isabelle’s Bridal and have a wonderful portrait session with YOU (her children). We love our dogs here in North Vancouver and around the world! Although my website is primarily women and business portraits, I thought I would share some of the many doggie portraits I’ve taken over the years.

As a subject, you would think they would be very difficult, but the opposite is true. A two year old is probably harder to deal with in the studio. Dogs if they are trained to do so, will sit and stay on command…..unlike little “Jimmy”.

Our precious fur babies only last on average 15 years or so…..it goes much too quick…..so document their lives while you can, show the expressions and funny little habits, make yourself a video

and for a classic headshot you will display on your wall (it will make you smile with every passing) and cherish forever, come and see me.
